St. Patrick's Day and Ramblings...

So, today is St. Patrick's Day. Did you know that he was a patron saint of Ireland who spread Christianity. He used the clover's three leaves to explain the Trinity. Neat right? So, before we heard this knowledge on KLOVE this morning, Bubba asked Makayla who was St. Patrick. "Daddy! That's PongeBob (that would be Sponge Bob we still can't say our S's) friend Patrick! Everybody knows that." Sorry...didn't know that one.
So, last night as I was giving the little girls a bath, I asked Makayla where we were going tomorrow (today)? "Mom, we are going to get our baby. I told everybody that!" "No, Makayla, we are going to go and see what our baby is!" To my reply I get,"Mommy will the baby have brown hair like us?" "I'm not sure Makayla. It will be black and white." Makayla:"OUR BABY IS GOING TO BE BLACK? Like Ahagamy (her friend Mahogany)??? Momma we are white!" oh my I'm thinking! "No, Makayla the baby's picture is going to be IN black and white! Our baby is white." Sweet child of mine!
This morning, Bubba tells me that at 3:45am God told him the name Julia Paige. Sounds good honey...but we are not going to have to use it! Well, we had our ultrasound and....Julia Paige it is! We were able to see our sweet, healthy little girl. She weighs only 6 oz. right now, and her feet are a little under an inch long! Makayla was the only one upset about this news. She told the ultrasound lady, "We asked for a boy. Please look again. It's supposed to be a boy not another girl!" hahaha. I am actually excited! I think by now I have figured out these little girls. And plus, we are obviously the ones to carry on the Mills Girls tradition and all the drama that goes along with it.....trust me...with the Mills girls...there is ALWAYS drama..this goes way back to Bubba's aunts! hahahaha!
SO, that's that. Friday, Bubba and I leave for Nashville (thank you Red River Association and The Davis') for a much needed vacation/babymoon!
